Rothfus Releases First TV Ad of Campaign, “Post”

ROSS TWP—The Rothfus for Congress Campaign released the following statement announcing the launch of Congressman Keith Rothfus’ first television advertisement of the 2018 election cycle, entitled “Post,” focused on his efforts to protect Medicare and Social Security for our seniors. The ad features Keith’s mother, Alice.

“As your Congressman, I believe the most important thing I can do is keep my promises to my constituents, and I have,” Rothfus said. “When I ran for Congress, I promised I would protect Social Security and Medicare for our seniors and I have a record of doing just that. I recognize and appreciate that our seniors worked hard and paid into these programs, and we owe it to them to ensure they receive the benefits they earned.   I have opposed efforts to reduce the cost of living adjustment for Social Security.1 My bipartisan bill to restore the right of seniors to switch Medicare Advantage plans after the start of the plan year is now law, restoring a right the Affordable Care Act took away.2 As long as I am in Congress, I will fight for what is right for our seniors.”

Campaign spokesman Mike Barley added, “Conor Lamb’s policies of higher taxes and more regulation would send the economy into reverse, threatening the creation of new jobs that are so vital to the sustaining of Social Security and Medicare.   Congressman Rothfus continues to advocate policies to grow the economy and add jobs, which will increase revenues flowing to these programs. ”

Congressman Keith Rothfus is the Republican nominee for United States Congress in Pennsylvania’s newly-formed 17th District. Keith currently represents Pennsylvania’s 12th District, a position he has held since 2012.  Keith was re-elected in 2014 and 2016.
